Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. Aspen Ladd was trained in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her professional debut at WCFC aged 18. Ladd then went on to take down three opponents within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were finished within the first few minutes. Ladd went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd won her next bout against Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015after signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her, securing a first-round TKO. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock out McGill via TKO in the third-round (elbows & punches).
